High functioning - easy to ignore?

As a fellow high functioning professional who's been through the trenches of addiction and now in recovery, I get it. It's surprisingly easy to brush aside the notion that there's even a problem. I mean, I was juggling work, running a business, taking care of the dog, socialising with friends, and spending time with my husband – all while keeping up appearances and driving around in my sports car. On the outside, I seemed to have it all together.

But here's the thing – despite being "high functioning," I realised I wasn't exactly thriving. I was just ticking off the boxes and getting through the day, but deep down, I wasn't happy living in a small world of addiction.

Let's dive in together and take the first step towards the life you want to live free of addiction.

You’ll be scored against the following key areas:

How problematic is your substance use?

The first set of questions in this assessment will help shed some light on just how problematic or at risk your drug and/or alcohol use might be and the impacts it is having on your health, life and work. Because sometimes, even the most put-together professionals like us need a reality check.

How ready for change are you?

We don't have to wait until we hit rock bottom to start making changes. Chances are, you've already had little wake-up calls that you may have brushed aside or tried to address on your own. The fact that you're here, taking this assessment, shows that you're curious and  considering making changes to improve your substance use.
